Wanna be a bridge to hidden products

One of my motivations of writing this blog is to introduce hidden (?) amazing Made in Japan products to the world. Sure you know Toyota, Panasonic, or Sony, the big brands that became global brands. But what I'd like to talk about is less famous and maybe even the brand itself have no intention of marketing outside of Japan.

As a starter, what about kitchen tools?

Once you use a Kyocera's ceramic peeler, you cannot go back.

Also a bit expensive but the scissors from Toribe, they have no problem with thick pile of radish cane or meat!! They can even easily chop mini tomatoes. So convenient for any products and especially when we just want to add small amount of ingredient without messing the cutting board . As you see, I want you to realize that Toribe website has no English or other language available, and this is the area where I want to be a bridge.

Yamazaki Jitugyo on the other hand, is doing a great job promoting their products to the world. They participate to an interior shows including Maison et Objet in Paris, I hope they pleased local people. Their products are very simple but also design-wise sophisticated and durable, and solve many small frustration at home. You will never regret purchasing their products, I promise!

このブログを書くモチベーションの1つは、あまり知られていない日本のよい商品を海外の人に知ってもらいたいという思い。もちろん、トヨタ・パナソニック・ソニーなどはグローバルブランドとなり、日本のメーカーとしての知名度も高いけれど、私が紹介したいのは、ブランド自身ももしかしたら海外に売り込もうという考えすら持っていないかもしれない商品。

手始めに、キッチングッズはいかがでしょうか。

京セラのセラミックピーラーは一度使ったや他のものには戻れないと思う。

そして鳥部製作所Toribeの調理ハサミ！少し高いですが、束になったカブの葉っぱをザクっときれるし、お肉もサクサク。ミニトマトをスライスすることだってできちゃいます。どんな食材もきれいに切れるし、特にちょこっとだけ食材を追加したいときに、まな板を汚さずにカットできて本当に便利。ここで気づいてもらいたいのは、鳥部製作所のHPは日本語表記しかないこと。こういうところなんです、私が架け橋になりたいなと思うところは。

一方、山崎実業は海外へのプロモーションも積極的。Maison et Objet in Parisにも出展していたようだし、他の海外のショーにも出展しているようです。山崎の商品はシンプルだけどデザイン性も高く、丈夫で、家の中のちょっとしたモヤモヤを解決してくれます。絶対に買って後悔なしです。
